Makin' Time - Feels like it's love (80s mod revival, power pop)

Born in 1984 in the county of West Midlands in England following the second wave of the mod revival, and take their name from the song Making Time, the second single from We Are Paintermen the mod band The Creation.
In 1985 they released their first studio album Rhythm And Soul produced by Pat Collier, producer of Katrina and the Waves, from which come the individual Here is my Number and Feels Like It's Love, all published on Countdown Records label. They are characterized by a strongly pop sound, like many other bands of the late mod revival, but always linked to sound black as the soul and rhythm and blues.
The following year they released their second and last album No Lumps Of Fat or Guaranteed Gristle, who does not receive the success of the previous work, leading to the dissolution of the group.
After the Makin 'Time, bassist Martin Blunt founded in 1988, the Charlatans, along with singer Tim Burgess, singer and guitarist Mark Gounden form a group called The Upper Fift powerpop, singer and organist Fay Hallam form the The Prime Movers together Graham Day of The Prisoners, and subsequently the Fay Hallam Trinity, his solo project.
